4CD Box / 2CD

„XXX. THE 30 YEARS RETROSPECTIVE“: DEINE LAKAIEN CELEBRATE THREE DECADES OF BAND HISTORY WITH THE RELEASE OF A BEST-OF DOUBLE ALBUM AND A BOXSET WITH UNRELEASED RECORDINGS AND UNIQUE ANNYVERSARY CONCERTS

The avant-garde duo released ten studio recordings within the three decades of the band’s history. During this time they accomplished the feat to make music solely for the sake of making music. 2016, Deine Lakaien celebrate their anniversary with a sensational selection from the archives. The extreme personal editions of the “XXX – The 30 Years Retrospective” are released on October 21st with almost 60 partially unpublished songs, secret hits, rare tracks and unpublished live-material. In 2017, Deine Lakaien present a unique live show in hand-picked concert halls on the extensive realization of which the band works since months.

Deine Lakaien might have been claimed to belong to one or the other scene, but until today it is impossible to assign a clear genre to them. Ernst Horn and Alexander Veljanov unswervingly create their own since three decades, and within their core they are just one thing: fearlessly adventuresome. After10 studio albums, live-shows that range from acoustic concerts through performances with classical instruments and an extended collection of synthesizers to extensive tours with one of the leading crossover orchestras in Europe, Deine Lakaien celebrate their 30iest anniversary with a unique release and live retrospective „XXX. The 30 Years Retrospective“.

„XXX. THE 30 YEARS RETROSPECTIVE“ EDITIONS // RELEASE 21.10.2016

The best-of double album „XXX. The 30 Years Retrospective“ includes the fifteen perhaps most successful songs of the band. Chronologically ordered, the first disc of the double album includes the best-known singles from all studio albums. The second CD presents the “secret hits” of the duo in chronological order as well as three highly interesting remixes that were not just newly arranged for the remixes but also whole harmonic sequences were reshaped.

The high-quality „XXX. The 30 Years Retrospective“-boxset comes along with a booklet containing all lyrics, and besides the double album it includes two additional CDs of which CD3 required a lot of work in the archives. The disc includes 10 unreleased songs, 2 remixes and two rare tracks that have not been officially published, yet. CD4 provides unreleased live-material from the years 1992-2015 with different line-ups, including recordings of “Acoustic” tours and of the “Kasmodiah” tour, the sound documents of which were unavailable so far.

The exclusive work exhibition for a start is limited to six stages in hand-picked concert halls – locations with history, atmosphere and brilliant sound. Besides Horn and Veljanov, the series features a line-up of former and current live members on stage. The anniversary retrospective offers intentionally a sensual experience in combination of extensive sound engineering, detailed choreographed light design and the scenic presentation of the program. As thank you for the fans, Deine Lakaien celebrate unforgettable memories of the touching moments of the first concerts offering at the same time a view on the future prospect of the band that in December played an almost sold-out acoustic tour. „XXX. The 30 Years Retrospective“ will be a full-length, emotional, and eventful journey that is going to be unique in this form. Advance booking has started already.
