XXX. The 30 Years Retrospective LIVE

The comprehensive documentation of Deine Lakaien’s most successful concert tour to date presents a high-quality selection of the best songs from the entire tour on two CDs as well as a 70-minute DVD recording of the concert in Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle.

Two years ago Deine Lakaien published the CD retrospective XXX. The 30 Years Retrospective, which featured hits from ten studio albums, rare tracks, new versions and unreleased live recordings on four discs. With this material the founding duo of Ernst Horn and Alexander Veljanov played a tour in hand-picked concert halls all over Germany. The concerts in places with an extraordinary atmosphere and brilliant sound, such as the Kölner Philharmonie, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Herkulessaal in Munich or the Berliner Philharmonie, were mostly sold out and elicited euphoric reviews.

Special Guests: the solo projects HELIUM VOLA and VELJANOV

The line-up of the concerts also testifies to the band’s almost historical claim to live performances: In addition to Horn and Veljanov, top-class guests and loved companions of the Avangarde duo were on stage ass well: their solo projects HELIUM VOLA and VELJANOV.

So the fans celebrated an extremely emotional and varied program with Slobodan Kajkut (drums), Goran Trajkoski (guitar), Katharina Garrard (violin), (violin), Sabine Lutzenberger (vocals) and ex-Inchtabokatables cellist B.Deutung as well as very intimate moments alone with Veljanov’s extraordinary voice and Horn’s musical atmospheres, which thrive on the virtuosity of an experienced electro musician as well as on his deep knowledge in classical music.

Regardless of media attention, Deine Lakaien - in addition to their achievements as musical border crossers - have embodied a continuity since their early days in 1985 until today that radically distinguishes them from other bands.
